Granny Panties, the Oscars, and You... Natalie Live Blogs the Academy Awards!

That's right, kiddies! I have had a few requests to do so, and at first, I said no. Not going to happen! I want to be able to devote all of my attention to watching the Broadcast. Why oh why would I want to be distracted by typing?
Then, I got the horrific news that my partner in crime, Ms. Angie, codename: Pterodactyl Phantasmatron (don't ask), will be working, and unable to jump in on the Red Carpet festivities with me, thus leaving me and my snarky comments all alone on Oscar Night! The Horror!
So, in an effort to soften the blow to my aching heart, I have reconsidered the proposal, and have decided that I will indeed be Live Blogging the hell out of the 2009 Academy Awards.
Got your attention? Here is how it will work. I am going to start with E! News Live from the Red Carpet, which I believe starts at 5pm Central time, and I'll be going straight through to the after parties! While all of this fabulousness is going down, I'll be sitting here in front of my faithful computer bringing you minute by minute updates. I'll just refresh the post each time I have some new sassiness to add. This will be especially fun for those of you who are unable to watch the show. Stop by the blog, and you'll feel like you were right there (or right here with me, anyway. I'll be serving Coors Light and Doritos...classy!) .
Anyway, we'll see how this works. I wish I had tried this out with some of the earlier award shows to get a feel for it, but alas, as with everything I do, this too will be by the seat of my trousers.
So, on Oscar night, whether you are watching the show or tuning in later, don't forget to click on my post which will be titled, "Academy Awards Live Blog". You can bring the post up on your screen and just refresh every so often to get the play by play! Yay! This will be fun!
And, if you are watching the show, feel free to jump on and comment on the blog with your own observations! It will be like a Virtual Oscar Party! But, instead of wearing a designer gown and borrowed diamonds, I'll be most likely wearing an old T-Shirt and granny panties. (Now you really wish you were here, don't you??)
Will the Jolie-Pitts snub Ms. Ryan Seacrest on the Red Carpet again? Will Hugh Jackman remove his shirt? Will we catch a glimpse of Madonna's new boy toy Jesus (she's rumored to be debuting him at the after parties)? This is the place to find out!
