There's no place like home! (Except perhaps Belize)
June 15th 2009 04:56
I am finally home after my couple week stint as my grandmother's caretaker, and I am soooo happy! I'm having a drink(s) to celebrate. Join me? Yay!
The last few days with g'ma were rough! I mean B-A-D! She is so scared about moving, and I don't blame her. My heart breaks for her every moment. But, as her nerves were at an all time high, my nerves were shot to hell.
So with a sip of my drink (lime vodka sour) and a smack of my lips (cause it tastes so good!) I am officially moving away from this topic.
And on to this one.....I really want to move to Belize. I may have expressed my longing on this subject to a few of my friends, and I haven't surrendered the fantasy just yet.
Why Belize? Why not! I was watching a program on the Travel Channel a few weeks ago, and there was this discussion about how beautiful and tropical Belize is, and as Tina Fey says on 30 Rock....I want to go to there!
There was this one house there that was open and airy and lovely...and for sale! I say, a bunch of us should cash in our pennies and move there! Yay! There would be plenty of room. Whatdya say???
So, now that I'm back, I'll be gettin' down to business. Blogwise, that is. And other things-wise. I have a lot of catching up to do. See you around, lovelies!

Galapagos Islands off the coast of Ecuador, and highly protected, and in real trouble from tourists, and those who live there. Sad really.
I'm checking into Belize because of the English thing. Thanks for the hint, my Spanish is almost nonexistant.

There is a place in SD. the Reptile Gardens, where they have giant Galapagos tortises (torti? tortis'?) and they are incredible! You can walk right up to them, and they'll ssslllowwwlly turn their ancient looking heads toward you and look you right in the eye. They remind me of ancient mystics. They're amazing.
Belize it is instead of Egypt. We will all meet there and raise a toast (in English) to independent Swine Flu free women!

Well, I think I'll be going to the casino in the next day or so. I like to play the penny slots, so we should have a really good chance of hitting the big time! Then, Belize is on me gals!
