Things that make me happy!

This is kind of a random post. It is just filled with things that make me happy. I find myself in a stellar mood tonight, so I thought I'd share with all of you some of my joy!
So, now presenting in no particular order....things that make me happy, and hopefully they get a few smiles from you!
Kathy Griffin!! This bitch makes me HAPPY! She's controversial, and admittedly not everyone's cup of tea. She's rude, crude, crass, vulgar, and one of the quickest and most witty people I've ever seen! A few nights ago she was on Larry King just discussing current events. Hilarious!

Rasputina The following song is fairly morbid, but I think it is fabulous. It's called Gingerbread Coffin. Enjoy!
Damien Marley He's fantastic! Click on his name to hear one of my favorite songs feat. Damien.
Ben Harper Sexy and Smooth! This is a great song from a performance at Bonnaroo Music Festival, which is a FUN time! Burn One Down.
Mos Def Political hip hop. Love it! Not only do I love his music, but I adore his acting, and I am a huge fan of his activism. Plus, he's a crazy tinfoil hat wearing conspiracy theorist who doesn't believe that we went to the moon. How could you NOT love that guy!
Queen! One of my all time faves. Freddie Mercury was a musical genius. This is my favorite song:

Gerard Butler (Obviously!) Sex incarnate.
Air Conditioning. Wish I had it. That would make me very happy. It's roasting here! I'm sweating my patootie off!
Women who make me smile (this is based purely on aesthetics and not on talent)
Joan Jett. She's sooo lovely. One of the most beautiful women EVER!
Kate Winslet. She's one of the most beautiful women in cinema. Especially this picture!
Kim Kardashian. Ok, she's a waste of space talent-wise and intellectually. However, she has one of the most beautiful female forms. And her eyes are beautiful as well.
Here are some things I find very funny. Not always the most mature sense of humor. While I consider myself to be a fairly intelligent young lady, dirty humor and bathroom humor never fail to amuse me.
This first one cracked me up because it makes fun of those horrible PC commercials where people are "ambushed" in parking lots by someone offering to pay for their computer if they can find one that meets all of their needs. Well, the following guy has some very specific requests!
How could the following video NOT make you smile for days??? It's the return of Box Cat, and he has a little angel baby face!!!
This is an interview with Tracy Morgan on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon that made me laugh. ANd yes, they're wearing snuggies. "This is better than family. No one around here asking me for my bone marrow." Hilariously stupid!

I had to quote at least a bit of that song, because I always think of it whenever I start thinking about things that make me happy.
That song makes me happy. So do musicals in general. Also good books, open fireplaces, old churches, candles, home baked cakes, kisses from children, flowers, good conversations with friends, bushwalks and laughing over absolutely nothing. Sorry, it's probably not as entertaining as your list. But they are things that make me very happy. In fact, I've gotten happier just thinking about them.

I'm having a great time at the moment because my boys are developing a love of musicals as well. And they're watching all the old ones I used to love as a child - sometimes for the first time. It's so much time to watch these well-loved classics with people who have never seen them before. Last weekend, we watched Oliver - which they hadn't seen before. They loved it so much than when it was finished, they went back to the beginning and started again. And the other day, when my son was sick, he spent the day watching Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Mary Poppins.
I know I have to make the most of it though. Give it another couple of years (or months) and they'll decide they're too daggy to watch.

Mos Def is the best. I love him so much. I love listening to his music, and I LOVED him in Be Kind, Rewind...a movie that I may be the only person who enjoyed it.
On a side note, it's pretty damn lucky I'm so cheerful this weekend, because someone just stole my underwear. I'm not kidding! I was doing laundry this afternoon, and when I went to take the clothes out of the dryer, my undies and a bra were gone! Why in God's green earth would they take my undies? I am the only woman who lives in this building, so I know it wasn't another gal who confused my stuff with hers.
Grrroooossss! Granted they were clean, but still! Now I have to go shopping for new panties! M-er F-ers! Oh well, I choose to remain happy, even though I now know I share a floor with a pervo!
