Your Sunday SNL Recap: Townhall Debate

As promised, I am delivering you this week's SNL highlights. Unfortunately, last night a rerun aired. However, Saturday Night Live's new Thursday Election update did not disappoint. Included here is their spoof of the recent Townhall style debate between Senator John McCain and Senator Barack Obama. It was HILARIOUS!
A few observations. I loved how they featured the questioners reading their notecards in a way that clearly indicates that these were not their original questions! Also, watching John McCain wander aimlessly around the stage was so spot on, I almost peed! And Chris Parnell's impression of Tom Brokaw was so accurate, it was spooky! John McCain constantly getting the questioners' names wrong was brilliant, and when he called Obama "peepants" I almost fell off my chair!
The brilliance of these sketches is that they so accurately reflect the events as they actually happened, and everything that you notice and shout at the screen about during the actual debate are brought to light, and you find yourself exclaiming, "Oh my God, that's so True!!!"
